Fieldstone Secondary School will be launching a fundraiser for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society for the month of March. All schools in the district are participating. We have the following activities planned:
- On Thursday, March 4th all advisory classes will be watching a 10 minute informational video on Leukemia & Lymphoma. Additional information will be delivered over the PA system.
- "Pennies for Patients", all homeroom classes will have boxes to collect coins. The homeroom that collects the most money will win a Pizza Party courtesy of TD Bank. We will also have the penny pads in the main office for any staff member who is wiling to donate. They will be displayed prominently.
- Fieldstone will also be participating in "Dress Down for Leukemia " on Thursday, March 25th along with WHUD 100.7 radio station. Everyone is encouraged to participate . Employees are invited on March 25th to "Dress Down" for a $5 donation (Students $2) that go towards the Society's programs of research and help local patient services. All contributions will receive an official "Dressed Down for Leukemia" sticker. This community-wide effort will raise important funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Westchester and the Hudson Valley.
You may or may not know that Thiells Elementary does have one child who suffers from this disease.
